Lotem 800

GUI Related

New features

  1. The main screen now displays the machine image according to current Loading System Type (Single Cassette, Dual Loading Cassette or Multi Cassette). Please note that the machine activity (plate loading, punches, open doors) is not seen on the screen when working with the DLC.
  2. The screen shows the online cassette information with a DLC. This happens when you right click on the main screen cassette.
  3. You can declare the content of the upper tray and the main compartment when using a DLC with the Off-line cassette dialog box. The name of the main compartment comprises the cassette name with “_Main”, and the name of the upper tray is the cassette name with “_Upper”.
  4. The Release Cassette button now opens a menu that includes an option to release the cassette main compartment. Another option releases the upper tray for a Dual Loading Cassette.
  5. An expose status and progress indicator was added to the Expose Info dialog box.
  6. A new splash screen appears during application start-up that displays the software version and current running tasks.
  7. The Service Engineer password has changed from "scitex" to "creoscitex"
  8. The GUI shows the number of current open interlocks.
  9. A plate counter was added to the status field of the Loading System dialog box. It counts each plate that was successfully loaded on the drum. This counter is not hangeable.
  10. When the mouse pointer moves over a cell where the text exceeds the cell width, a yellow box appears displaying the full cell text.

New features & Solved bugs

  1. Supports the new XY system. Default parameters are automatically set for the new loading system as well as for the old loading system.
  2. Supports the 0.15mm plate kit, with an improved sequence:
    a. Please note that all parameters for 0.2 plates also apply to 0.15 plates.
    b. Fixed the bug where the parameter “Extra to Punch for 0.2 plate” didn’t work.
    c. Fixed the bug where the Parameter “Y In Drum for 0.2” didn’t work for 0.15 plates. Now there is a new parameter that is unique for 0.15 plates - “Y In Drum for 0.15”.
  3. Supports the tilted paper/metal detector. (See Appendix F- Installation Procedure).
  4. Improves plate separation. A new parameter was added for the number of times the plate is bent backwards in the cassette in order to achieve plate separation.
(under Loading System/Load Plate/From Cassette to Punch Entry Stage/Number of Plate Backwards Separations {default =1}).
  5. The Centering process during loading is now more reliable (The bug was fixed where the centering process failed with no error messages).
  6. Improved synchronisation of the Drum Motor with the Unload Motor during unloading. This prevents plate friction and marks caused by the unload rollers. A new parameter determines the relative distance from the final drum stop position. In this position, before the drum reaches its final position, the unload motor will be stopped. (The parameter is: Loading System/Unload Plate/Unload Motor/Tolerance for Unload Motor [mm]{default =3}).
  7. Adds a parameter that allows the paper disposal to operate for a specific time. The current default is 4000 mSec (previously 3000). Time To Sleep Before Stop Paper mSec]".
  8. The paper disposal motor operation (during the load sequence from drum entry to drum) is determined by the plate size to prevent small plates from getting caught in the disposal system. The motor is operated if:
    a. Plate height size is greater than the Registry parameter: (Default 345) "Min Media Height Size To Operate Paper Disposal During Loading Plate [mm]".
    b. Plate width size is greater than the Registry parameter: (Default 450) "Min Media Width Size To Operate Paper Disposal During Loading Plate [mm]"
  9. The bug that caused the balance system to respond incorrectly to media size in the Balance System dialog box, was fixed.
  10. The faulty error message “Right Balance 1 Failed” that appears when switching between certain plate sizes, was solved.
  11. Adds SoftStart to X, Y and Centering motors (this will extend motor and mechanical component life expectancy).
  12. The loading sequence was improved to prevent “falling” and “dragging” of the plate:
    a. The “Y In Punch” is decreased to prevent “falling”.
    b. The “Y Enter To Punch” and ”Y Up After Punch” are now parameters that determine plate height when it is being moved into the punches (to prevent “dragging”).
  13. Supports two types of conveyors: The current conveyor that is derived by regular motor, and a future conveyor, derived by encoder motor. The encoder motor will enable control of conveyor speed (this only applies to machines with Local 3 board).

Expose Related

Solved bugs

This version includes new DDB-1N load files (ver. 26 95) for TSP configuration (ONLY).
This addition fixed the following bugs:

  1. DDB "Put and Get" communication failures.
  2. Improves image squareness (phenomenon of an imperfectly square image).
  3. Stops spirals at the beginning of exposure.
  4. Shifting of image.
  5. Lines around the drum and missing data during expose.

Solved Bugs From Ver 2.30.05:

The following bugs exist in versions 2.30.05.xx and have been solved in version 2.30.05.05 patch 1 and higher:

  1. Intermittent problem of punch motors, which do not work with Local 3 machines.
  2. Use of conveyor (both types) with Local 3 machines.
  3. Loading sequence problem which hangs when trying to push the tweezers with Local 3 machine.
  4. Punch board Revision A didn’t work with this version. Now a different .hex file is loaded.

The following bugs exist in all prior versions 2.30.05.xx) and have been fixed in this version:

  1. The Punch System dialog box cannot be used for “Do Punch” with Local 3 machines. It created a C++ debug error.
  2. The Laser log file cannot be activated.
  3. If centering short pins do not detect the plate, the centering sequence will not prevent the plate from being crushed by centering system. This happens with Local 3 machines only.
  4. Faulty error messages such as:
“Load gripper not in H.P.”, “Unload gripper not in H.P.”,“Load roller not in H.P.”, “Unload roller not in H.P.”

(No need to change parameters according the workaround described in the 2.30.05.05 release notes).

Note:  All changes of Registry parameters that were needed in version 2.30.05 are now integrated into this version.
