Samples of Resolution Settings

Lotem 800 differs from all other platesetters in the marketplace in that it can handle files with any resolution within the 1524 dpi to 3556 dpi (res 60 to res 140) range. Other platesetters are "fixed resolution", that is, they require files of a specific resolution. If files with other resolutions are received, competitors systems must resample the data to accommodate imaging. Resampling of data will compromise the integrity of that file, and could result in a degradation of quality. The ability of the Lotem 800 to image data of any resolution means that there is never a need for data resampling.
