The following procedure is to adjust the position of the Head gripper in reference to
the drum encoder.
The procedure need to implement when you replacing the following Component:
Drum Coupling
Drum encoder – Index adjustments
Lower / Upper grippers actuators
Procedure
To record position of head grippers in load position:
From PC controller select Hardware Setupà Drum
System and double click on Drum Motor.
From Drum window select Position ABS and in New Pos text field type in about
"–260" in order to bring head grippers into loading position.
Hold manually the drum and turn off drum power, activate load grippers manually from the
manifold.
If the drum isn’t exactly in position than rotate the drum gently until activator
pins are in the middle of the head grippers grove (it is advise to use flashlight).
The actual position of the drum is displayed in the Current text field, record this
value for later reference.
Go to the Hardware Setupà Drum System and
right click on Loading System, double click on Setup.
Note: To change the settings go to Utility and select user
and change the user to Service Engineer and enter the password.
Insert the new value to the "load Head Gripper Location" and than select apply
to apply.
To record position of head grippers in unload position:
From Drum window select Position ABS and in New text field type in about
"–780" in order to bring head grippers into unloading position.
Hold manually the drum and turn off drum power, activate load grippers manually from the
manifold.
If the drum isn’t exactly in position than rotate the drum gently until activator
pins are in the middle of the head gripper grove.
The actual position of the drum is displayed in the Current text field, record this
value for later reference.
Go to the Hardware Setupà Other and right
click on Lotem 800, double click on Machine.
Insert the new value to the "Unload Head Grippers Location" and than select
apply to apply.
Perform Loading and expose plate to check all the sequence.
