Punch Configuration Limitations with the 0.15 mm Kit

Description

The following limitations must be considered when configuring customer punches.
There are special locations on the punch bar for the 0.15 mm kit assembly.
Customer punches cannot be installed at pitches (minimum distance between any two punches) less than those listed below.

The pitch is measured from the inner edge of one punch to the inner edge of the next punch and is symmetrical to the center of the punch bar.

Lotem 800s/f: 642 +/- 31 (mm).
Lotem 800s/f -GTO: 332 +/- 31 (mm) and 642 +/- 31 (mm).
Lotem Quantum: 286 +/- 31 (mm) and 642 +/- 31 (mm).

For 0.15 mm Kit:

• The distance between the punches cannot be less than 302 mm [Excluding the center punch (pitch=0)].
  
• With plates 480 mm and wider:
  Two gaps of 14 mm must be left free on each side of the punch beam to allow installation of thin plate supports. All 0.15 mm plates used by the customer will be supported (plates must be supported 10 -100 mm from their side edges or
  they will deflect downward and hit the punches on their way).
  
• Punches within a pitch of 640 mm, that make a notch in the plate to a maximum depth of 15 mm from plate edge, cannot be used.
  
• The maximum height for 0.15 mm plate is 600 (mm).
  
• At least two free punch connectors are needed.
  
• The long punch beam 299B2R005 (p.i 299B2R284) or 299B9L110 (p.i 299B9L764) is required. Otherwise a new short punch beam should be ordered: 510K1M453 short beam upgrade kit.
  
• It cannot be installed on proofing machines.
