Symptoms

When using vs175r10c with ex-curve on all colors without a Tone Rep. Curve, a 2-3% dot variation will appear between the separations.

Cause

The dot variation is caused by an incorrect d-ratio parameter value.

Solution

• Use a d-ratio with a value of 80, to access the ex-curve table and correct the dot areas for each separation.
• Use a d-ratio with a value of 97 to equalize all the gray levels between the separations.
