Exposure Issues:
Banding, lines in the image, high exposure power required minimize banding, excessive ablation of plates and etc.
Cause:
Optics head lens is not CENTERED to the light detector during laser power
calibration.
This results in clipping of some of the laser beam light reaching the light
detector.
Solution:
To test, position the optics head to the value for the carriage position
for light calibration registered in the registry under "Laser Group".
The normal default is -3. Remove covers and unloading tray and visually inspect
lens cap to be centered to light detector window.
Adjust with registry value or move coarse HP detector accordingly and re adjust
coarse/fine HP relationship of 180*.
Check/adjust image centering on plate following any change to HP.
Note:
1 rotation of lead screw is 2.5mm of carriage movement.
