Check the crimp connections on the bar flag connections of the
bar flag harness (p/n 203G10012). Then, check that the detector is functioning
properly:
- In the Registry, make sure the following default
parameters are set:
- IO OBJECTS\LOCAL 3\DETECTORS\Bar Flag 1 Detector\Detector
Active State = 1
- IO OBJECTS\LOCAL 3\DETECTORS\Bar Flag 1 Detector\Detector
Number = 42
- Using a volt meter, find a 5V supply to the sensor while the sensor
is connected by measuring between pins 1 (5V) and 2 (GND) on the connector.
In case the 5V pin and the right local board are live, follow the wires
from the sensor to the local board (loading harness p/n 504N3D512).
- If the 5V pin supply is sufficient, measure the voltage between pins
2 (GND) and 3 (Output). When the sensor is not blocked, V= ~0;
when it is blocked, V= ~5.4V. If this is the case, the wiring,
sensor and voltage are functioning properly.
- When the measured result is other than 5V or 5.4V:
- Disconnect the sensor.
- Measure between pins 1 and 2 (harness connector)
to find the 5V supply.
- Measure between pins 2 and 3 (harness connector)
to find the 5.4V supply.
- If the pins are not receiving either the 5V
supply or the 5.4V supply, check the wiring, the board connections,
and the connection between the local board and the mother board.
- If both the 5V supply and the 5.4V supply are
sufficient, short the voltage between pins 2 and 3. A change on
the screen indicates that everything but the sensor is operating
properly.
