Tweezers Do Not Grip Paper
Gabi Ra'anan
July 26, 2000
Here is a tip from James Fendler of CSAP, Australia:
Problem: Paper is not caught by paper tweezers and/or disposal rollers due to slippage. It happened mostly with Fuji plates which interleaf paper is smoother than others. The rubber slips over the paper and does not grip it.
Fix: Applying rubber restorer to the rubber parts of the tweezers and disposal rollers. It makes the rubber tacky, hence the tweezers and paper disposal rollers grip the paper instead of sliding relative to the paper.
Material used: The Rubber restorer is an ECRM product.
The side of the container is labeled: "General Purpose Rubber Cleaner and Restorer"
