Cassette Centering Arms
Gabi Ra'anan
August 17, 2000
In some cassettes the centering arm tips are little lifted above the surface of the cassette;
As a result the arm tip wouldn't push against bottom plates and plates wouldn't be centered properly. The cure for this is adding washers under the arm at its end, so the arm is tilted and the tip is pushed down towards cassette bottom; Disassemble the 2 screws securing the arm (See photo ), add as many washers as needed, install back and check by laying a bunch of 40-50 plates at least in cassette. If centering arm tips are not below lowest plate- you need more washers.
