Punch System Is Not Available

Tip Sent By:

Machine S/W version:
2.003

Problem:

Error " punch system is not available":  When sending expose from the Brisque, an error message pops up "punch system is not available".
Lotem not punching via the Brisque:  The press punches that installed on the Lotem didn’t punch the plate.  The press punches did work manually from the Lotem.

Solution:

As you know the press punch offset should be 45, 500 mm W, H accordingly in order to indicate to the S/W that the press punches are installed and active in the Lotem.

At the customer site in STA we found out that the " width start image area" was 47 mm.

This parameter 47 mm is higher then the punch motor width offset which is 45 mm. This conflict will cause an error message, that the punch system is not available since the punch offset 45mm is not in the range of the width exposure.

To fix this problem you can increase the punch width offset to 60 mm or decrease the " width start image area" to 40 mm. Usually this value is 36 mm.
