Wrong UDRC operation with software versions 3.60.09 and 3.61.02

Cause

   The UDRC does not work properly due to a bug found in versions 3.60.09 and 3.61.02. In the current status, the machine operates in Quantum mode, but not as a fiber machine. The UDRC pump turns on and off with each plate loading, instead of remaining on until the job exposure (4 separations) is completed.

Solution

   Download Patch #1: Solving UDRC Operation for Version 3.61.02.
Note: Version 3.61.02 must be installed on your machine prior to installing the above patch.
  1. Upgrade the machine to version 3.61.02 as described in the version release notes.
  2. Insert a blank diskette into your Laptop floppy drive, and save the patch as 3-61-02_patch1.exe.
  3. Using the GUI, open the front and right side doors.
  4. Insert the diskette with the saved file into the machine's floppy drive.
  5. Using Windows explorer, navigate to Drive A, and double-click the Patch #1 file. The Lotem Update - Installation Wizard window is displayed, and the new Hex file is loaded.
  6. After the new Hex file is loaded, a Welcome - Lotem Update Install window is displayed. When the file has been successfully loaded, click Next.
    Note: The patch will change the Service Pack to "1" under Lotem800V\VERSION\Service Pack.
  7. Remove the floppy diskette from Drive A, and close all the doors.
  8. Start up the application, and make sure the machine is in Ready mode.
  9. Send a job from the Brisque to ensure the UDRC is working properly.
