Fast load/unload parameters and processes for Lotem 800 Quantum
Changes have been made in the load and unload parameters and processes for
the Fast Loading option, which is default behavior in Quantum machines, to reduce the overall load/unload time.
X and Y motor speed parameters
The following parameters enable you to reduce the overall load time by
increasing the X and Y motor speeds. Note: Before using the following parameters, verify that the
Use Fast Loading attribute is set to Yes.

Drum Speed Parameters
The following parameters enable you to reduce the overall load and unload
time by increasing the drum speeds. These parameters apply to Quantum
machines only.
Note: Before using the following parameters, verify that the
registry parameter MACHINE\Thermal Head Installed (Yes=1, No=0)
is set to 1.

\Drum Speed For Unload In Thermal Head (mm/sec)
Loading Process Changes
Stage A, from cassette to punch entry - The media
centering operation is performed two times, instead of three when using a
regular loading method. When the media is picked up from the cassette, a
long X motor movement brings it very close to the punch short pins, where it
is centered. Then the media is attached to the punch pins and centered
again, before the actual punch process is performed.
Stage C, from drum entry to drum - After the media mounts
the drum and the head grippers close on the media, the X and Y motors no
longer move a few millimeters backward. This minimizes bending of the plate
before the suction cups detach from it.
