Procedure

  Use NVS commands for:

Saving NVS parameters from the MCE to the disk

Type the following:
C:\Th2\Tools\bload f=File name_ram.bin p=X b=57600 d=ram I=nvs upload
Note:
You must save the file under the same directory as the "bload" program.

Saving Flash from the MCE to the disk

Type the following:
C:\Th2\Tools\bload f=File name_flash.bin p=X b=57600 d=flash I=nvs upload
Note:
You must save the file under the same directory as the "bload" program.

Restoring NVS parameters to the MCE

Type the following:
C:\Th2\Tools\bload f=File name ram.bin p=X b=57600 d=ram I=nvs
Note:
This file must have been created with the same version that is being loaded on your machine.

Restoring Flash to the MCE

Type the following:
C:\Th2\Tools\bload f=File name flash.bin p=X b=57600 d=flash I=nvs
Note:
This file must have been created using the same Firmware version that is being loaded on your machine.

Saving modified (non-default) NVS parameters from the MCE to the disk

At SPlot, type the following: Quantum>>PRM DIFF
Then, from your terminal, capture screen data.

Saving all MCE NVS parameters from the MCE to the disk

At SPlot, type the following: Quantum>>PRM ALL
Then, from your terminal, capture screen data.

General notes
  1. X is the communication port currently being used.
  2. f= is the name of the file that you are loading.
  3. In case loading/saving a file fails, delete the file that was already created; then resave.
  4. In case loading/saving a file repeatedly fails, do the following:
    1. Reduce the baud rate in the program communication application.
    2. Type: Quantum>> MCE baud 9600.
    3. Change the baud rate in the monitor to 9600.
    4. When the loading process ends, return the baud rate back to 57600.

Note: When SPlot is closed with the prompt redirected to TH2, loading/saving a file fails. Before opening a DOS window to execute commands, make sure to exit SPlot using the Quantum>> prompt (redirect disable).
