Symptoms

The foffset value obtained from the focus series is different from the factory foffset value by at least 30 microns.

Solution

Note: If the foffset value from the focus series is different from the factory setting by 60 microns or more, esclate to your local Thermal Specialist.

1. Check the foffset value from the factory settings for the head you are working on. To do this, use the command TH2>foffset offset, and note the Active value.
2. If the foffset value from the focus series is different from the Active foffset value by at least 30 microns (this is the foffset difference), set the foffset to the value obtained in the focus series.
   
   Note: By doing this, the head install error will change by the same amount as the foffset difference.
3. Readjust the head to obtain the correct head install error.
