Preventing slip sheets from sticking to the plate on a Lotem 850 dual-loading cassette

Product

Lotem® 850 DLC

Symptoms

  • Static electricity and/or a slip sheet that sticks to the plate may cause double-feeding; meaning the plate and the slip sheet are loaded together.
  • During the plate loading process, the slip sheet does not separate from the plate that is immediately beneath it.

Cause

The DLC centering arms do not bend the plate enough to separate it from the slip sheet.

Solution

Replace the existing DLC centering arms with improved centering arms, see Improving the Lotem 850’s DLC cassette’s plate/paper separation.
