Enhanced enable detector kit (part number 518-00481A)

Product

  • Lotem® 800
  • Lotem 800 Quantum
  • Lotem Quantum Spectrum
  • Lotem 400
  • Lotem 400 Quantum
  • ThermoFlex® Mid/Narrow

Component

Enable detector - Part number 138A10080

Symptoms

The enable detector (p/n 138A10080) does not always detect the drum. This problem can lead to loading failures and plate fly-off scenarios.

Cause

The operational range of the existing enable detector (p/n 138A10080) is too limited. Therefore the detector does not always recognize the position of the drum.

Solution

Replace NOT ONLY the existing enable detector, but several other detectors with a newly enhanced detector.

When a Service Engineer orders an assembly/kit from the table below, CSC Logistics will automatically ship an enhanced detector kit with the new assembly/kit.
The enhanced detector kit contains three detectors and a document. Each detector has been rigorously tested and proven to be far more reliable than previous detectors.

Before installing the new assembly/kit onto the Lotem, the Service Engineer replaces the existing detector with one of the detectors from the enhanced detector kit.
The replacement procedure is extremely simple and does not require any additional adjustments.
The Service Engineer stores any unused new detectors in their spare parts kit for future use, and disposes the old type of detectors.

Notes:

  • Three new detectors (p/n 116-00001) and a document (p/n: 719-00155A) are distributed in an enhanced detector kit to CSC Logistics.
  • CSC Logistics are responsible for attaching an enhanced detector kit to all those assemblies/kits in their storage that will be requiring replacement detectors.
  • Each time a Service Engineer orders an assembly/kit, the new part will be shipped together with an enhanced detector kit.
  • Prior to installing the new part onto the Lotem, the Service Engineer will replace the detector on the new part with a detector from the enhanced detector kit.
  • Service Engineer disposes the old type of detectors.

The table below lists all the assemblies and additional kits that require replacement detectors:
