Lotem Spectrum - Troubleshooting

Receiver Loading

Problem description The Receiver is not properly attached to the drum.

Error The drum vacuum pressure is below the minimal value allowed (read: xxx, min: yyy) - possibly receiver not loaded correctly

Cause
  1. The Receiver is not loaded correctly.
  2. The Drum Vacuum Pressure value is too low.

Solution
  1. The Receiver is not loaded correctly.
    1. Verify that the Receiver is inside the blue tape border, marked on the Carrier.
    2. If the Receiver is inside the blue tape border, make sure it has not shifted and that it covers the vacuum holes on the Carrier.
    3. If the Receiver has shifted, make sure that the proofing tray is positioned correctly on the upper tray of the DLC and that the media is positioned correctly in the proofing tray.
  2. The Drum Vacuum Pressure is too low.
    1. After loading the Receiver, check the Drum Vacuum Analog Detector (Hardware>Drum System>Drum Detectors) to confirm that the minimum Drum Vacuum Pressure value is in the range of ~-550 to -730.
    2. If the minimum Drum Vacuum Pressure value is not within the allowed range, change it to a value within the allowed range.
    3. If the minimum Drum Vacuum Pressure value is within the allowed range, decrease the current minimum value by 40.
    4. Define the results in the registry under Load Blanket>Load Proof-Min Drum Vacuum Pressure For Receiver
For example, if the value was -690, reduce the value to -650 and define it in the registry.

Loading
Carrier
  1. When Carrier is completely wrapped on drum
  2. When Receiver is attached to Proof Loading Bar
Value is within the drum vacuum pressure range defined in the registry for Carrier on drum.
  1. Maximum 30 seconds, polling every (1) second
  2. One second
Receiver When Donor is attached to Proof Loading Bar Value is equal to or greater than the minimum Drum Vacuum Pressure defined in the registry for Receiver on drum. One second
Donor When Donor is completely wrapped on drum Value is equal to or greater than the minimum Drum Vacuum Pressure defined in the registry for Donor on drum. Maximum 30 seconds, polling every (1) second
Unloading
Receiver
  1. Before detaching Receiver with the Proof Unload Arm from the drum
  2. After shutting off drum vacuum
Value is below the maximum Drum Vacuum Pressure defined in the registry for Receiver unload Maximum 30 seconds, polling every (1) second
