Diagnostics for the Lotem 800 II Quantum, running s/w version 3.80.xx

The Lotem® 800 II Quantum diagnostics for Lotem Controller version 3.80.xx is a suite of diagnostic tools featuring enhanced capabilities.

There are 3 diagnostic modes available:

Desktop JOIND Diagnostics

Important: When you perform Java Over the Internet Diagnostics (JOIND) for the first time, you will need to initialize the correct registry settings. This can be done by starting up and then exiting Lotem Controller.

To activate the Desktop JOIND Diagnostics:

  1. Close Lotem Controller.
  2. From the Start menu, select Lotem 800 - Diag > Diagnostics,
    or
  3. Double-click the Diagnostics icon located on the desktop.
Important: During the startup process, the Plate Location dialog box is displayed.
When a plate is loaded onto the platesetter some of the diagnostic tests will be limited, therefore it is very important to select the correct location of the plate, otherwise, the platesetter may be damaged.
If a plate is loaded, unload it via the Unload Plate button.

Lotem Controller JOIND Diagnostics

Lotem Controller JOIND Diagnostics is a new feature that enables you to run the diagnostics interface from within Lotem Controller, without having to exit the application. This mode is less time consuming than Desktop JOIND Diagnostics, because the diagnostics can be activated almost immediately via Lotem Controller.

To activate the Lotem Controller JOIND Diagnostics:

From within Lotem Controller, select the Diagnostics option in the Utilities menu.
Note: During the diagnostics session, Lotem Controller is locked - meaning it is not possible to concurrently run both diagnostics and activate Lotem Controller. When you quit the diagnostics session the application becomes unlocked.

Diagnostics via Lotem Controller’s Hardware Tree

Some diagnostics tests can be accessed via Lotem Controller’s hardware tree.

To perform diagnostics via the hardware tree:

  1. From the Utilities menu, open the hardware menu tree.
