Background

This procedure explains the frequency at which the FUCHS DR filters need to be replaced in the vacuum pump of the Lotem ThermoFlex.

Requirements

Procedure

According to the manufacturer, the filters should be replaced at the following times:

1. Metal Mesh Filter - to be cleaned only.

2. Safety Filter Bag - to be replaced when the red LED is lit (Filter Full).
3. Preliminary Filter Bag - to be replaced only after 12 replacements of the Safety Filter Bag.
4. High Eff Filter Submicron Class - to be replaced only after 10 replacements of the Preliminary Filter Bag.
5. Carbon Gas Filter - to be replaced after 800 working hours OR one year.

The following picture shows the locations of the different filters:

ThermoFlex Narrow/Mid-size customers can either purchase these filters at Creo, using the Creo part number, or directly from FUCHS, using their part numbers.
