Background

This procedure describes how to update the Fuchs vacuum pump.

In the upgraded model, filter pocket 5 replaces the safety filter bag. Filter pocket 5 is a larger particulate filter and requires replacement six times less frequently than the previous safety filter bag.

Important: Before starting this procedure, turn off the vacuum system and unplug the main power cable.

1. On the upper filter module,open the four tension locks and remove the safety filter bag ([1], shown left).
   The upgraded model is shown on the right for comparison.
     
2. Insert filter pocket 5.
   
3. Fasten the four tension locks.
