The tables below display the unique scale factor (SF) percantages assigned to plates of various thickness. In addition the tables also display how two specific image sizes (990 mm, 735 mm) will be exposed with and without the effect of the scale factor.

1 Thickness of the plate in inches.
2 Thickness of the plate in centimeters.
3 Expected image size. In these examples
the expected image size is 990 mm (ThermoFlex Mid)
3 and 735 mm (ThermoFlex Narrow).
4 Size of the exposed image if the SF
is not entered into the Brisque software device.
4 For example, on the ThermoFlex Mid,
if you intend to expose a 990 mm image on a plate with
4 a 0.762 cm thickness - without
entering the scale factor, the resulting image size will only
4 be 986.18 mm.
5 Scale factor percentage. This figure
represents the percentage that an image
5 must be enlarged if it is to be exposed
at its intended size. For example, on the ThermoFlex Mid,
5 a 990 mm image will have to be enlarged
by 1.0039% if it is exposed on a 0.762 cm thick plate.
5 Otherwise the exposed image size will
only be 986.18 mm.
6 Scale factor x 100. This figure is
entered into the Brisque software device.
