Fuchs debris removal cabinet connected to:

• Kodak ThermoFlex Mid
• ThermoFlex Narrow

Symptoms

The Fuchs vacuum pump remains on after you try to close it in the ThermoFlex Controller software. When you quit ThermoFlex Controller, the Fuchs vacuum pump remains on.

Cause

• The wiring cable (signal cable) that connects the Fuchs debris removal cabinet to the platesetter
• Local3 board
• Local3 mother board
• Fuchs debris cabinet

Solution

To determine the cause of the problem, open one of the platesetter doors and check the Fuchs pump status.
Note: Opening a platesetter door stops the 24 V power supply to the Fuchs debris removal cabinet.

• Fuchs pump remains on:
1. Replace the Local3 board
2. Replace the Local3 mother board
• Fuchs pump shuts down:
1. Replace the cable (504N2D639) that connects the Fuchs debris removal cabinet to the platesetter.
2. Replace the Fuchs debris removal cabinet or upgrade your debris removal system to UDRC.
