Prevent the expose from aborting when exposing multi-layout jobs from Brisque to ThermoFlex Mid or Narrow

Product

  • ThermoFlex® Mid
  • ThermoFlex Narrow

Symptoms

When sending a multi-layout job (i.e. job that requires more than one plate) and the Load/Unload options are selected in the Plate Expose dialog, the job aborts when confirmation is received that the first plate has been unloaded.

Cause

The Machine Timeout parameter has a default of value of 0 (zero) minutes. This value is too low and causes multi-layout jobs to abort.

Solution

Amend the default value of the Machine Timeout parameter:

  1. Click on the arrow located on the far left of the Brisque Task Bar. The Utilities menu opens:

  2. From the Utilities menu, select Prefs. The Preference window opens.
  3. In the Preference window, select Output:

    The Output Preferences window opens.
  4. In the Output Preferences window, click Plate Expose:

Click the Machine Timeout option and enter 20 in the Machine Timeout box.
This highers the platesetter's timeout value from zero minutes to twenty minutes and prevents a multi-layout job from aborting.
Note: For Brisque version 4.0, the recommended timeout value is approximately twenty minutes.
