Smart edge detection board

Cause

COM6 port is not configured for smart edge detection.

Solution

Before you begin:

• Verify that the correct smart edge detection board for Magnus 400 Controller 1.01.391 is installed on the platesetter: part number 503-00097A.
• Verify that Update 3 for Magnus 400 Controller 1.01.391 is installed.

1. Start the Magnus 400 Controller 1.01.391 + Update 3 software.
2. In the Hardware tree, go to Boards, right-click Smart Plate Edge Card, and select Properties.
3. In the Properties: Smart Plate Edge Card dialog box, change the value of the Com Driver parameter from USB to COM6, and click Apply.
4. In the Hardware tree, go to Others, right-click Magnus400, and select Properties.
5. In the Properties: Magnus400 dialog box, double-click +MACHINE.
6. In the Properties: Magnus400\MACHINE dialog box, change the value of the Communicator for SED Card (USB0=0, COM6=1) parameter from 0 to 1, and click Apply.
7. Quit the Magnus 400 Controller software, and then restart the software for the changes to take effect.
