Stepper motor, black (part number 184-00098)

Symptoms

The carriage does not move.

Cause

The ampere values in the LMCE/TMCE were not calibrated for the LIN engineering stepper motor.

Solution

1. On the desktop, double-click the Service Shell Client icon.
2. When the Service Shell workspace appears, select Views > Device Monitor.
3. At the command prompt, type the following commands, one after the other, and press enter after each command.

set carriage Ihold 1.2

set carriage Iplot 5

set carriage Imove 5

4. To verify the settings, at the command prompt, type set carriage. The updated carriage values appear in the Active column.
