Symptoms |
Six-mil GTO plates do not load smoothly. |
||
Cause |
Some PTP 6 mil (0.15 millimeter) plates are more flexible than other plates. During loading, when a plate should exit the punch, the Y Up After Punch for 0.15 parameter default value of 35 mm causes the plate to move up before it has exited the punch. When the plate moves up, gravity pulls down the trailing edge of the plate. When the plate moves back toward the MCU (in the "x" direction), the trailing edge of the plate collides with the small plastic rollers next to the paper disposal rollers. |

Solution |
In the registry, change the Y up after punch for 0.15 parameter value as the to the same value as the Y enter to punch (mm) parameter. The recommended values are 8790. With these same values, a plate will not rise when it exits the punch, gravity will not pull the trailing edge as far downward, and the trailing edge will not catch in the small plastic rollers and disrupt the position of the suction cups on the plate. |
