Product

Magnus™ 400

Component

LDA power supply

Symptoms

Bands appears on the image:

Cause

The LDA head's external power supply is not calibrated to the nominal value.

Solution

Calibrate the LDA head's external VDD (2.2v) power supply voltage on the board relevant to your Magnus Controller software version:

  • Version 3.91: 2.25–2.40 V
  • Version 3.92: 2.24–2.44 V
  1. In diagnostics, select POWER SUPPLIES>EXTERNAL, right-click Vdd(2.2v), and select Diagnostics.

  2. In the Vdd(2.2v) diagnostics dialog box, select the Endless option and click Run.
  3. Open the left side door and panel of the platesetter.

Note: When any platesetter door is open, you cannot access diagnostics, so you must perform the adjustment by trial and error. After each adjustment, close the panel and doors and check the diagnostics dialog box on the monitor to determine if the value is within the correct range.

  1. On the VDD 2.2 V power supply, use a screwdriver to adjust the value.
