Error

The following error message appears on the Magnus monitor:

Symptoms

An error message appears informing the user that Magnus Controller cannot start when the JOIND Diagnostics software is running.

Cause

Important: Magnus Controller does not currently support the JOIND Diagnostics software.

If the JOIND Diagnostics software is inadvertently started, a flag is created which notifies Magnus Controller that the JOIND Diagnostics software is running.
This prevents Magnus Controller from starting and instead the software generates an error message.

Solution

Do not run the JOIND Diagnostics software; it is not currently supported by Magnus Controller.

However, if the JOIND Diagnostics software is running, then perform the following actions:

1. Open the Task Manager dialog box and make sure the JOIND Diagnostics software is not running.
2. Delete the ~activeexe file from the Runtime folder:
   • Magnus Controller version 1.02.402:
     C:\Magnus\Diag\JServer\Runtime
   • Magnus Controller version 1.01.401:
     C:\Magnus\CompUDC\Allprj\Common\Bin\Debug\Diag\JServer\Runtime
