Bypass switches

Error

The safety loop on all Magnus 800 devices is intermittently activated.

Symptoms

Magnus 800 devices intermittently stop for no apparent reason.

Cause

If a Magnus 800 device contains a badly assembled bypass switch, then the device may stop for no apparent reason.

Solution

Check the bypass switches and make sure that the four screws securing the switches’ top block are fully tightened.

Important: Do not apply Loctite 242 adhesive to the screws because the adhesive will damage the plastic bypass switches.
