Interpreting the behavior of the LEDs on the Magnus 800 master system boards

The Kodak® Magnus™ 800 platesetter and the Kodak Magnus 800 autoloader each contain one master system board (MSB). Both MSBs have an array of light-emitting diodes (LEDs).
This document describes how to interpret the behavior of the LEDs when the Magnus 800 platesetter and autoloader’s safety circuits are closed.

Ready status

The table below describes the behavior of the LEDs when the system is functioning correctly.

LED Name Status Description
FAULT FM FPGA Off All three fuses are functioning
STTS FM FPGA Flashing FPGA loaded
CAN 1 FM UCONT Not available Dependent upon network connection
CAN 1 TO UCONT Not available Dependent upon network connection
HRTBT FM UCONT Flashing 2 Hz - The on board CPU has loaded and is functioning
FAULT FM UCONT Off No errors have been detected by the CPU

MSB power input failure (scenario 1)

The table below describes the behavior of the LEDs when 24 V is not being supplied to the MSB.
The status of the IN P24V OK LED, highlighted in a red font, influences the behavior of those LEDs that rely on a 24 V input supply.
If a LED appears in a grey font, its status is irrelevant to the problem.

MSB power input failure (scenario 2)

The table below describes the behavior of the LEDs when the 24 V bypass switch supply is not being delivered to the MSB.
The lack of power may be due to the fact that a door or panel is opened and a bypass key has not been inserted into a bypass switch, or alternatively, a safety switch loop is defected.
The status of the IN INTLKD 24V OK LED, highlighted in a red font, influences the behavior of those LEDs that rely on a 24 V safety switch supply.
If a LED appears in a grey font, its status is irrelevant to the problem.

LED Name Status Description
IN INTLKD 24V OK Off 24 V bypass switch supply to the MSB is not functioning
FAULT FM FPGA Off All three fuses are functioning
STTS FM FPGA Flashing FPGA loaded
CAN 1 FM UCONT Not available Dependent upon network connection
CAN 1 TO UCONT Not available Defendant upon network connection
HRTBT FM UCONT Flashing 2 Hz - The on board CPU has loaded and is functioning
FAULT FM UCONT Off No errors have been detected by the CPU
IN P24V OK On 24 V is being supplied to the MSB
OUT 5V DETS OK On The MSB on board detector fuse is functioning (5 V is supplied to all the detectors)
SWITCHED PWR24V ON Off The MSB on board fuse for the motors is not functioning (24 V is not supplied to any of the motors). The status of this LED is always off if the 24 V bypass switch supply to the MSB is not functioning.
IN PV OK Off 24 V reserve safety switch supply to MSB is not functioning
SWITCHED PV ON Off MSB on board reserve fuse for the motors is not functioning. The status of this LED is always off if the 24 V safety switch supply to the MSB is not functioning.

MSB electronic fuse LEDs

The table below describes the behavior of the LEDs when 5 V is not supplied to any of the detectors.
The lack of power may be due to the fact that the fuse is off as a result of a power spike or an over current originating at one of the device’s detectors.
The status of the OUT 5V DETS OK LED, highlighted in a red font, influences the behavior of those LEDs that rely on the fuses.
If a LED appears in a grey font, its status is irrelevant to the problem.

LED Name Status Description
OUT 5V DETS OK Off The MSB on board detector fuse is off (5 V is not supplied to any of the detectors)
FAULT FM FPGA Flashing red A fuse error has been detected
STTS FM FPGA Flashing FPGA loaded
CAN 1 FM UCONT Not available Dependent upon network connection
CAN 1 TO UCONT Not available Dependent upon network connection
HRTBT FM UCONT Flashing 2 Hz - The on board CPU has loaded and is functioning
FAULT FM UCONT Off No errors have been detected by the CPU
IN P24V OK On 24 V is being supplied to the MSB
IN INTLKD 24V OK On 24 V safety switch supply to the MSB is functioning
SWITCHED PWR24V ON On The MSB on board fuse for the motors is functioning (24 V is supplied to all the motors)
