Background

This procedure describes how to replace an encoder on a a Magnus 800 multi-cassette unit (MCU).

Procedure

Prepare the MCU

1. Shut down the power leading to the MCU.
2. Remove the MCU E-box panel.

Remove existing encoder

1. Disconnect the encoder from the grounding screw.
2. Disconnect the encoder from the Molex^® connector.
3. Remove the encoder, and if required the encoder plate.
   
   
   
   

Install replacement encoder

Secure replacement encoder to MCU
