Engine - TEC actuator assembly 50-2739A

Error

The pre-MT150 TEC actuator assemblies had a loose fitting between the dowel pin and the mounting plate.

Symptoms

Possible symptoms include:

• TEC/LEC backbone time out for extend or retract position.
• Locking or unlocking TEC clamps.
• Difficulty with holding or locking backbone in LEC position.
• Vibration of the whole engine during plate loading or unloading.

Cause/Solution

Cause: TEC actuator assembly worn due to the loose fitting dowel.
Solution: Replace TEC actuator assembly (2pc.). The new TEC actuator assembly has a tight fitting between the dowel pins and the mount plate. Plus, we are now using Loctite 609 (green one) for permanent assembly.
