Magnus VLF - Controlled Release 4.1 (ECO CA13428, 18 Oct 2007)

NOTES:

• You must install the version of Service Shell in this controlled release before downloading firmware in this controlled release.
• You must have a customer dongle, service dongle, and customer license files before installing this release or the result will be a hard-down situation.
• You must have 2 GB RAM on the Print Console workstation for system stability.

CR 4.1 Highlights

This controlled release includes all the funcionality from previous controlled releases. The highlights that are added in this controlled release include the following:

• Added support for the new edge detect camera (part number 500-05190A)
• Added NVS parameter for the unload table's maximum acceleration
• Supports the plate angler
• Supports the plate funnel upgrade option
• Includes patches 1, 2, 4, and 5 from CR 4.01

Patches

Patches are created for unique situations and are only used for specific customers, as needed or advised by the Core Team. The patches below are for controlled release 4.1 only and will be included in the next official controlled release or controlled release update.
To install patches on GMCE devices, run the executable file. To install patches on TMCE devices, launch Service Shell and run the firmware upgrade scripts from the script applet. Select the relevant .bin file for that patch.

Note: Some CR4.1 CDs contain a file called KodakScsiCtpInfInstaller.exe in the patches folder. DO NOT install this file! Installing this file will cause problems communicating with the SCSI port and could result in a hard down situation.
If this patch is installed on a workstation, run the installer again and select the Uninstall option. This should restore the SCSI connectivity.
