Interlock System

Description | Parts | Procedures | Related commands | Wiring diagram

Description

The laser flyoff system is wired into the interlock loop. Therefore, a plate flyoff error will occur if you open a door or a panel.

Parts

Door switches and magnets

All panels except for the power box panel are equipped with safety interlock switches to prevent operator injury. Opening any of these panels creates a break in the circuit, preventing the machine from operating. A misadjusted or faulty sensor creates the same condition.

All switches are redundant

Abort switch

10-1338A

If pressed, causes a break in the interlock loop. To release the Abort button, turn it clockwise. The abort button is located under the top access panel.

Procedures

Adjusting the panel reed switches
Isolating the faulty door sensor
Safety Interlock Procedure-Safe Practices for Remote Servicing

Related Commands

The abort command forces an orderly shutdown of all recorder software tasks. The abort will clear when the shutdown sequence for all tasks is complete.
