ThermoNeslab Merlin M75 Chiller

The Magnus VLF device uses an external Merlin M75 chiller unit to send cooling water to the version 3.x thermal head. It is:

• connected to the output device with a water hose assembly
• fitted with casters so it can be rolled into position
• fitted with a temperature controller that displays coolant temperature
• fitted with a pressure controller that displays the discharge pressure

Magnus VLF - M75 on a TH3

• Deadhead pressure setting: 66 psi (± 2 psi)
  Warning: Only disconnecting the return line to the chiller will isolate the cooling circuit for setting the deadhead pressure. However this is an unsafe practice because the head could be exposed to over pressures as the bypass pressure relief valve is adjusted through its operating range. See the Neslab M33/M75 Cooling Temperature and Pressure Settings manual for details.
• Coolant temperature set point: 20° C
