Description |
The flash cover position is detected using reedswitch sensors for both open and closed positions. Faulty or intermittent operation of these sensors can result in failed load/unload sequences. |
Causes |
Solutions |
Reedswitches / magnets faulty or
misadjusted Due to the width of the flash cover, a pair of reedswitches must be activated to indicate the open position. One is positioned at the left side and a second at the right side. If the flash cover is badly skewed, only one of the switches may be active and a timeout or error condition could result. The same is true for sensing the closed position. Adjust the flash cover assembly to remove the skew. Faulty electrical cable or connector
Damaged or misadjusted overtravel stops The flash cover motion is limited by stop bumpers attached to the bearing block
assembly. If the flash cover open detent position is difficult to find and/or the
flashcover is difficult to lock, the bumpers may need to be adjusted. Damaged flashcover track assembly cover(s) The open position of the flash cover is limited by stop bumpers coming into contact with the track assembly cover plate. If the cover plate becomes distorted, the flash cover may overtravel beyond the range of the sensors.
