Major fixes and features

Major problems resolved are:

Support for V-speed imaging
Changing the mode media parameter when using metric units in Print Console

Time and Order to install and/or upgrade from previous release

Install in the order given. Review the Dependencies before beginning. For more information about each component, see the release notes.
Total time - 5.0 hours (minimum).

Service Shell installation - needed for checking head/mpe f/w versions and for downloading the new f/w	0.25 hour
To upgrade firmware, including checking head and MPE f/w versions; backup NVS parameters - fsave all; nvs dump; download new mpe f/w; nvs upgrade; checking nvs parameters	1 hour
Upgrade TFX firmware if needed	0.5 hour
Upgrade Copydot Toolkit Viewer	0.25 hour
Check the following MPE parameters: Set DRUM CHKFLY = 1 Set GC PROT = 0 Set CARRIAGE MSSPEED = 800 Set VERBOSE REDIRECT = 0	0.25 hour
Check that the device and all applications are functional, including load/unload of small/medium/large size media	1.5 hours

Limitations

not suitable for Lotem-based devices (works on VLF-based ThermoFlex devices)
use of a Windows 2000 server is not recommended on machines prior to FX41, since the dongle must be replaced and the cost will be charged to the customer

Dependencies

TIFF Downloader Licence - To obtain a license key, send your request to license.key@creo.com
CTK Viewer Licence - To obtain a license key:
1. Start Copydot Toolkit
2. Open the Settings/License dialog box to view the System Key and your current License Key.
3. Include both the System Key and current License Key in an email request to license.key@creo.com..
The License Key will be a number and letter sequence. Cut and paste your new key into the license key field completely, overwriting what is already there and ensuring that there are no trailing blank characters. Contact the License Key account for assistance if you do not get the "License Key has been successfully installed" message.
Dongle for TIFF Assembler, 22-0069
PrintConsole has made an exception with TFE to allow its use on NT4.0
NT4.0 servers must have NT4.0 Service Pack 4 installed to run TIFF Assembler 1.2.
Windows 2000 servers must have a compatible dongle to run TIFF Assembler 2.0.
TFX head firmware 1.14 must be used with MPE firmware 1.41.

Workflow Compatibility

TIFF Workflows: The ThermoFlex is an open system and will accept any 1-bit 2400dpi color separated TIFFs that are screened with flexo specified angles.
