Print Console displays:

Product:Flyoff occurred, remove media.

Symptoms

• Plate flyoff reported.
• Possible loud noise inside the device.

Solution

Note: When a plate flyoff occurs, the media must be removed before the device is reset.

To recover from a plate flyoff:

1. Click Eject to continue. Print Console displays: MDHFLEXO:Please open the table.
2. Open the load/unload table. Print Console displays: MDHENG:Media flyoff detected, please open panel and remove media.
3. Press the release button to open the front panel (illuminated green botton inside the front cover on the right).
4. Inspect the area around the drum to determine the flyoff condition.
5. Turn the brake override switch to Brake Override (on the left of the drum).
6. Remove the trailing edge tape and rotate the drum by hand to move the plate onto the load/unload table. Hold the plate while unloading as there is no drum vacuum to hold the plate down once the tape is removed.
7. Click Resume to continue.
8. Turn the brake override switch to Brake Operation and close the table. The device returns to a Ready state.
