Error

The Tailstock will not disengage from the drum.

Cause

• The drum hoist is not raised
• The drum hoist is poorly adjusted
• The tailstock lock cylinder is not retracted
• There is no lubrication between the red bushing of the retraction linkage and the 40mm main support rod
• The bushing is seized onto the end of the drum pin

Solution

• Confirm that the drum hoist is adjusted properly and raised.
• Visually check that the lock cylinder has been retracted by looking in between the base of the tailstock and the tailstock itself.
• Add a small amount of spray lubrication to the linkage bushing on the support rod to free the tailstock.
• If the tailstock still fails to release, the tailstock bushing may be seized to the drum pin. Contact the response center for further instruction.
