Error |
|
Image is shifted in the subscan direction.
|
|
Cause |
|
- Subscan location of the beginning of the sleeve is incorrect.
A sleeve is intended to be imaged on a shell with an intermediate disc and endcap in place. A properly seated shell, the
endcap, and the intermediate disc define the subscan location of the beginning of the sleeve.
- The shell may not be hydraulically locked to the arbor in the correct position. Ensure the shell is seated directly against
the flange on the arbor and that there is a small amount of clearance between the locking ring and the latch on the shell end.
- The arbor hydraulic fluid is low.
|
|
Solution |
|
- Ensure that a single intermediate disc is sandwiched between the end of the imaging mandrel/shell and that the endcap is securely in place.
- Ensure that the tailstock is in the engaged and locked position. Push the shell back firmly until the end of the shell is
flush with the flange on the arbor with a small amount of clearance between the latch and the locking ring. Retighten the hydraulic lock.
- Check the hydraulic fluid level. If it is low, refer to the Arbor Hydraulic Fluid Servicing procedure.
NOTE: Always hydraulically lock the shell with the tailstock engaged to the arbor end and locked. Do not operate the
Premounter or ThermoFlex Wide II machine if the arbor hydraulic fluid is low; refill immediately.
Service Shell command: >>tailstock lock/unlock
