Production hub

Symptoms

The production hub cannot rotate to interface with the ThermoFlex device or premounter.

Cause

1. The rotational stop pin in the production hub base is incorrectly positioned.
2. There is insufficient lubrication on the production hub shaft.

Solution

Cause 1

1. Remove the two rubber bumpers from the top plate at the front of the hub and remove the carriage from the hub.
2. With an assistant, lift the production hub straight up and off the base.
3. Note the position of the rubber bumper stop on the underside of the production hub and position the spring-loaded rotational stop pin correctly.
4. Replace the production hub in the base, and replace the carriage and rubber stops.

Cause 2

1. Remove the two rubber bumpers from the top plate at the front of the hub and remove the carriage from the hub.
2. With an assistant, lift the production hub straight up and off the base.
3. Note the position of the rubber bumper stop on the underside of the production hub.
4. Remove any corrosion or scratches with emery paper and lubricate the shaft with a light coating of grease.
5. Replace the production hub in the base, and replace the carriage and rubber stops.
