Symptoms

Random shifts where the whole image is shifted away from the LEC. This shift dissappears if the plate is re-imaged.

Cause

Xilinx code.

Solution

Upgrade to at least 1.65 Xilinx code:

1. Copy the 1.65 Xilinx code to the local drive.
   DO NOT change the filename.
2. Make sure that MCE Controlled Release 1.0 or later is installed.
3. Using Service Shell 2.4, execute the “firmware upgrade” script in the “devices” scripts directory of service shell.
   • Select Upgrade Firmware
   • Select MCE as the board to load the code onto.
     Make sure all other boxes are unchecked
   • Select MCE Xilinx or LCA firmware location and browse to the file location.
     DO NOT change the filename or the script will not work.
   • Contunue following the device prompts until the script runs.
4. After the script has finished running, type list version
5. If the Xilinx version is not 1.65, run the script again.
