Vacuum Below Threshold Error (15177)

Applies to

  • Trendsetter 2637

Causes and Solutions

Cause 1: Threshold level set too low.

Solution: Check the vacuum levels and thresholds. You want to set the threshold so that the error appears if only one plate is picked when picking two plates.

  • Enter
    picker up
    picker vac on
  • Use a small plate to cover the five cups that connect to the RH side of the picker with ¼" blue tubing. (ONLY these  five cups.) Enter picker and make a note of the vacuum level (about 47).
  • Use a small plate to cover the two cups that connect to the LH side of the picker with ¼" blue tubing. (ONLY these  two cups.) Enter picker and make a note of the vacuum level (about 50).

Make a note of the larger of these two values (Max Vacsm) to use in the final calculation.

  • Use a large plate to cover all seven of the cups that connect with ¼" blue tubing. Enter picker and make a note of the vacuum level (about 190). This level (Max Vaclg) is the maximum threshold setting that will NOT report an error when a double width plate is picked.

Use the command set al pvt to set the threshold to halfway between Max Vacsm and Max Vaclg ,i.e., (Max Vacsm + Max Vaclg)/2.

Cause 2: Leaks or obstructions in the vacuum circuit tubing.

Solution:

Check the vacuum circuit tubing for leaks and obstructions. Replace the cable harness if it is too tight and presses the picker tubing.
