Description

This should never occur. If it has, it is an indication that the carriage has overshot the home tab and the carriage drive has been disabled by the switch on the home/away board. The firmware will not be able to move the carriage away since the amplifier is disabled in hardware.

Solutions

• Turn the ball screw by hand to move the carriage away from the home position, making sure that the LED on the home/away board indicates that the carriage is not in the home position, and enter carriage init to initialize the carriage.
• Make sure that the correct firmware version is installed.
• Check the carriage acceleration limit (set carriage accel).
  The value should not be set above 1500 mil/s/s unless instructed by Creo Engineering.
