Unpainted clamp plates have been in use since 1999.

Symptoms

Cracked or broken clamp plate

Cause

Stress concentration near the inner fillet/cable hole. See photos below.

Solution

• Inspect all Trendsetter 400/800 base devices on next visit or PM. Look for visible signs of cracks or breakage. See photos below.
• If cracks or breaks are found, replace the clamp plate ASAP and notify the Product's PSS or ESS.

NOTE: Mishandling or twisitng of the backbones or roller during uninstall or install can also fracture the clamp plates so be extremely careful when working with these components.
