Symptoms

• A new or replacement 1.7 head does not come online on an MCE device when the device is powered up. The head appears to boot up but goes offline.
• An error message may include transport failure, code 34015

Cause

Some heads missing correct values in hdm 9-16

Solution

• Copy initHDM9to16.spt script included in the Patches folder of Controlled Release 1.0 for Trendsetter 400/800 or Controlled Release 1.0 for Trendsetter NEWS to \serviceshell\scripts\device.
• Answer yes when asked if you want to overwrite the existing file
• Run the script to re-initialize all parameters in modules hdm9 to hdm16
