Component

Load Ramp Glass (#57-6166A)

Description

Some of the glass used in the load ramp is bowed from side to side and plates are hitting the bottom edge of the glass during the unload sequence. The type of damage you're likely to see is bending or crumpling of plates, and/or scratching on the back of plates. You may also find metal debris on the glass or in the machine.

To Check if this is the problem:
Remove the glass and place on a flat surface with the etched lines facing upward. Use a straight edge to check for curvature from side to side.

If the straight edge contacts both sides but sits high in the center, then the glass can be used. Glass with this kind of curvature is flattened out when it is installed in the brackets that hold the glass in place.

If the ruler contacts the glass in the middle and rocks from side to side (more than 2mm), you need to replace it . As a short-term solution, the glass can be re-installed backwards until the new piece arrives.
