Description

• The LEC assembly holds the leading edge of the plate onto the drum. The clamps, normally closed by the force of a spring, are held open by the LEC backbone during plate loading or unloading.
• The LEC actuation mechanism is incorporated into the LEC backbone Pneumatic cylinders in the clamp cylinder assembly are controlled by the LU electronics and drive the LEC backbone. Cylinder speed is controlled by flow control valves in the intake and exhaust lines.
• The clamps are permanently fixed on the drum.
• The backbone sits in lowest slot in end plates at ends of drum
