Symptoms

When load calibrate is used, a plate is picked but the picker does not go down and the device “hangs.”

Cause

The load calibrate command does not work in the firmware releases noted above. load calibrate is supposed to have the device set the mh DistSensorToLEC parameter during an automatic load.

Solution

A manual load calibrate must be done to set the mh DistSensorToLEC parameter:

1. Carefully measure a plate in the mainscan direction.
2. Load the measured plate manually, using the command load m <mainscan mm> s <subscan mm> manual. For example:
   load m 570 s 378 mi 2 ms 2 manual
3. Unload the plate manually using unload manual.
4. Load the plate again using the command load calibrate.
   The mainscan plate size from the previous load is used as a calibration standard to update the mh DistSensorToLEC parameter.
