| Cause:
Several machines in the field have had the belts skip causing
the slip sheet picking to fail.
Solution: Page 6 of Dwg 50-1743
contains the assembly drawing showing the procedure used in
production to adjust the belt tension. This procedure requires
the use of a force gauge.
The belt must be tight enough that it will never skip. If you
do not have a force gauge, you can rotate the cups forcibly by
hand against the force of the cylinder. This is the maximum load
the belts will ever experience. The belt must not skip or be on
the verge of skipping under this condition. Conversely they must
not be too tight or it will make the mechanism too hard too turn
or move smoothly.
If the belt has skipped you will have to skip it back to the
correct position. On page 7 is the procedure for adjusting the
endpoints of the icup and ocup. |
